What 10mg actually means

10mg is California's single serving for edibles. Here's how to think about it, and why one segment is the right place to start.

In California, one serving of an edible is 10mg of THC. It’s the standard unit, and it’s why every segment of the GURU brick is exactly 10mg.

A serving isn’t a target

10mg is a unit, not a goal. How any amount feels depends on you: your tolerance, what you’ve eaten, how you slept, your body. Two people can take the same segment and have different evenings.

Start with one

If you’re new to edibles, new to GURU, or it’s been a while, start with a single segment. That’s the whole idea behind take less, feel more. You can always take another segment another day. You can’t take one back.

Wait longer than feels necessary

Edibles are processed through digestion, so they take longer to arrive than smoking or vaping. Many people feel effects somewhere between 30 minutes and two hours after eating, and a common mistake is taking more because “nothing’s happening yet.” Give it two full hours.

Full-spectrum, labeled plainly

Each GURU vibe pairs THC with other cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, or THCV. Exact milligrams of every cannabinoid are printed on the pack, so you know what’s in each segment.
